Sensei has been training in the Martial Arts for over 2 decades. Beginning his training in Traditional Japanese Karate at the age of 13, Sensei has continued training in Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga and Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He currently has the rank of 4th Degree in Kaizen Karate, 2nd Degree in Shindo Kan Karate and a Brown Belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

Sensei is an "Instructor Trainer" for Black Belt Schools International, where Black Belts around the world come to learn how to become better teachers. In 2004 Sensei earned the title, "Instructor of the Year" out of thousands of candidates. Currently he continues training Karate with his instructor Shihan Tony Morrison and trains with his BJJ instructor Louis Vintaloro 3x weekly including traveling several times each year to Brazil to train directly with their instructor Royler Gracie at the Gracie Humaita Academy.
